E! Online has a video interview with Jon about the end of the current leg of the tour.
Most of the questions are the same ones that get trotted out in every interview when the band is on tour.
However, the way that Jon talks about the upcoming Greatest Hits album is interesting. He references Cross Road as a ‘volume 1′. To me, that sounds like the upcoming album will pick up where Cross Road left off. If that’s true, then my prior speculation about what would be on it was completely off base. It opens up a lot more space for the post-1994 hits and makes it easier to fit in the new songs that were promised.
And now, for the shallow stuff: Jon’s looking pretty good. Now, as you know, I’m a big fan of the blond hair, so videos like this one are a complete treat. The blue shirt looks especially good on him.

I am curious why Jon continues to give so many interviews. He says nothing new; often the answers are the same pat responses given for the last several months/years. The interviewer gets old soundbites…I don’t know what Jon and Bon Jovi get from being interviewed. I mean kudos to Jon about marketing the band to the media but…. He is either asked the same old questions or he controls what he is asked and doesn’t venture into new territory. Die hard fans get nothing new. Sometimes he is gracious, sometimes he is bored/impatient/annoyed–and most interviewers are only given 5-20 minutes. He has said that he hates that aspect of the business: the interviews, press conferences, staged photo shots, etc. Perhaps it would be more of a mystery for him to not give interviews for a while and just promote the band through his own publicity machine.
I also wonder why, if Bon Jovi is so popular, major magazines don’t do a cover story on the band or at least some major article. If they were really that popular, the magazines would want the interview to sell copies.
Just discovered your blog — I’m also a fan of the blond Jon! Thanks for sharing!
