Livin’ on a Prayer (Live from London DVD)

All right, now we’re finally into the meat of the Live from London  DVD.  I’m used to Prayer being used as an encore rather than an opener, but that actually works well.  Bon Jovi shows need a high-energy opener–that one song can set the tone for the entire show, and this song is a great one for this application.

Review: Live from London DVD

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working my way through the Live from London DVD one track at a time.  This was the first Bon Jovi concert DVD that I had gotten for myself.

Random Song: Always (TLFR)

Artist: Bon Jovi
Album: This Left Feels Right

No, I’m not saving these songs up for a full album review.  I don’t think I can face listening to this album as many times as I have to in a short period of time to complete one of those reviews.

Up Next…

I figure that the next big feature on the blog should be another review–this time, though, I figure that rather than continuing on with 7800° Fahrenheit, I might do a concert DVD for the next one.

I’ll probably be starting the next review next Monday.

The ten songs that made me like music

As you may know, I grew up during the heyday of grunge, but that style of music never spoke to me at all.  (Actually, I was so utterly alienated by grunge that I spent years unable to understand what it was that made people hardcore fans of any band.)  I picked up an album here and there over the years as a song caught my fancy, but it wasn’t until I bought that copy of Cross Road that everything started to come together for me to really become a fan of rock music.

Bon Jovi Lisbon Stream Review

I almost missed this; I hadn’t been paying attention to the official site very much, and I cancelled my original plans for tonight because I was tired when I left work.  (If I hadn’t done that, I’d have been miles from my computer.)
